Empower Technologies Corporation Announces Empower Technologies (Canada) Inc. Signing of Vendor Agreement With Major Electronics Retailer

Richmond, BC – August 29, 2003 – Empower Technologies Corporation (“Empower Corporation”) is pleased to announce that Empower Technologies (Canada) Inc. (“Empower Canada”), a subsidiary of Empower Technologies Inc. (“Empower”), has signed the Vendor Agreement with a Major Electronics Retailer (the “Retailer”). It is proposed that Empower Canada will supply their latest handheld computer “PowerPlay Vs” embedded with LinuxDA Operating System to the Retailer as their key entry level PDA (Personal Digital Assistant).

PowerPlay Vs PDA features a built-in MP3 player, digital voice recording, SD/MMC card expansion slot, and embedded LinuxDA Operating System. The unit has 2MB Flash Memory, 8MB of DRAM and uses a Motorola Dragonball® EZ MPU.
