Empower Technologies Corporation ("Empower Technologies") retains the services of Renmark Financial Communications Inc. for Investor Relations

Richmond, BC December 22, 2003- Empower Technologies (TSX Venture:EPT, EPT.WT) is pleased to announce that it has retained the services of Renmark Financial Communications Inc. to handle its investor relations.

declared Paul Leung, President and CEO of Empower.

Renmark Financial Communications Inc. will provide the services of Investor Relations, Administrative duties and Research to Empower Technologies for a 12 month period. In consideration of the services to be provided, Empower Technologies has agreed to pay Renmark Financial Communications Inc., a monthly fee of $3,500 CDN for the months of December 2003 through February 2004 inclusively, $4,000 for the months of March through May 2004, and $5,000 CDN for the months of June through November 2004 inclusively.
