Now Retailed Exclusively in Canada’s Best Buy & Future Shop stores.

Richmond, BC – Nov. 20, 2003 – Empower Technologies (“Empower”) is pleased to announce the launch, just in time for the holidays, of its latest handheld computer the PowerPlay Vs (embedded with LinuxDA O/S) to be retailed exclusively in Canada at selected Best Buy and Future Shop stores. The units are being sold at $129.99, a great value for consumers.

PowerPlay Vs provides the consumer with the most affordable alternative for a multimedia handheld computer using one of the most advanced and proven operating systems – LinuxDA O/S. For the novice user, PowerPlay Vs can back up its data using a removable storage device (an SD “Secure Digital” memory card) without ever using a PC.

The PowerPlay Vs PDA features a built-in MP3 player, digital voice recorder, SD/MMC card expansion slot and is embedded with the LinuxDA Operating System. The unit has 2MB of Flash Memory, 8MB of DRAM and uses a Motorola Dragonball EZ MPU.
