Amendment to the Voluntary Pooling Agreement

Richmond, BC – October 1, 2003 – Empower Technologies Corporation (“Empower Corporation”) announces that it has signed an Amendment to the Voluntary Pooling Agreement dated September 19, 2003 with respect to 484,600 common shares among Canaccord Capital Corporation (“Canaccord”) and Empower Corporation.

The parties agree that 100,000 common shares originally agreed to be released from pooling three months from the closing date of the Company’s IPO, such date being December 26, 2003, can be released from pooling as of September 29, 2003.
