Empower Technologies Announces Commencement of a Major Sales and Marketing Initiative

Empower Technologies Exhibiting (Booth D20) at the Fifth Linux World Conference and Exposition October 26-28, 2004 Frankfurt Germany

July 19, 2004, Richmond, British Columbia. Empower Technologies Corporation (“Empower”) is pleased to announce the participation of it’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Empower Technologies, Inc. of Redmond, Washington, at one of Europe’s largest Linux tradeshows, “Linux World Conference and Exposition 2004” to be held between October 26 and 28, 2004 in Frankfurt, Germany. The Exposition is one of Germany’s few trade fairs that have been continuously growing year after year. This year there will be in excess of 20,000 visitors and over 142 major exhibitors.

Dr. Edward Dennis, President of Empower, states that the number of companies using open source Linux will double by 2007 and the most informed Chief Information Officers (CIO’s) will be in attendance at this showcase Exposition. Munich recently announced the wide deployment of Linux desktops in government offices. For Empower and its alliance partners, the show provides the perfect forum to introduce Empower’s next generation LinuxDA Embedded O/S (LEOs) and PowerPlay PDA products in one of the Linux capitals of the world.

Corporate giants such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Siemens Telecommunications are exhibiting at the show.

Paul Leung, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Empower, said the Company has the product pipeline securely in place now. It is moving rapidly into the next phase of growth which is sales and marketing. This is one of the most challenging tasks the Company faces today and it is a critical key to the future of Empower’s success, not only domestically but internationally as well.

The Linux World Conference and Expo 2004 in Frankfurt, Germany signals the beginning of Empower’s major marketing push to win LEOs licensees and to drive product sales.

Over 22 nations will be visiting the Exposition and their representatives make 80% of the procurement decisions for their companies and over 60% plan on investing in Linux solutions, services and Linux operating system based products. Empower will be exhibiting LinuxDA Embedded O/S and PowerPlay products in booth D-20.
