Letter Of Intent with Global Upholstery Company for Smart Seating Products
Richmond, British Columbia – May 4, 2005 - Empower Technologies Corporation (“Empower”) is ready to leap out of its chair to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Empower Technologies Inc., has signed a Letter of Intent for Global Upholstery Co. Inc. to become the exclusive manufacturer of seating products, incorporating software and technologies invented and engineered by Empower.
Empower has developed unique products, Intellectual Property (IP) and related technologies while Global has extensive knowledge and technology associated with the design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and marketing of seating products and furniture in many environments. Together, the parties wish to develop new smart seating products using both parties' possessive technologies and know-how.
Empower and Global will work together to commercialize the application of Empower's products, IP and technology into seating products and other furniture.
