Empower Technologies™ Corporation Announces Appointment of New Vice President, Sales and Marketing Richmond, British Columbia – July 25, 2005 - Empower Technologies Corporation (“Empower”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Alex Romanov has been appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing of its Canadian subsidiary. Mr. Romanov has for the past year provided sales and marketing consulting services to Empower on a contract basis. Mr. Romanov has been a senior marketing executive for a number of years and most recently, from 2002 to 2004, was President and Chief Executive Officer of Spherex Inc., a company that has entered into agreements with Empower. Previously, from 1999 to 2002, Mr. Romanov was President and Chief Executive Officer of WGI Technologies Inc., a digital imaging company. Mr. Paul Leung, the Chairman and CEO of Empower, has reassumed the position of President of Empower, in place of Dr. Edward Dennis, who is no longer with Empower.
