Empower Technologies Conversion of Loan to a Convertible Loan December 2nd, 2010 – Richmond, British Columbia, Canada – Empower Technologies Corporation (TSX.V: EPT) ("Empower") is pleased to announce that, further to a price reservation filed with the TSX Venture Exchange on December 1st, 2010, the Company is converting its long term loan, acquired from two directors, to a convertible loan . This new convertible loan has an interest rate of 14% per annum compounded monthly, has 3 years term with an option to renew for 2 more years. The total amount of existing loan, including interest, as of December 1st, 2010 is $2,515,436 and can be converted into 12,577,180 units (the “Units”). Each unit is exercisable at $0.20. Each Unit consists of one share and one common share purchase warrant. Each non-transferable common share purchase warrant is exercisable into one common share for a period of two years at an exercise price of $0.25 per share. The convertible loan and any accrued interest can be converted at any time and at any amount. The price reservation and the conversion of the long term loan to a convertible loan are subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
